So today's big lesson is this: don't get a flu vaccine and covid vaccine shot on the same frickin' day, especially if you're already imunnocompromised. I've been so sick for going on three days now. Just miserably achy and fatigued, pretty much bedridden. The first day (Monday; I got the vaccines on Sunday) I had a pounding headache all day, then I developed a fever that night that got up to 102.2°F. Fever broke Tuesday morning, and I felt way better, but wouldn't you know it came back not long after.

Since I was rapidly approaching 103°F, i.e. danger zone for someone with my health problems, I headed to the local urgent care to get checked out. While there, my fever peaked to a staggering (for me; I rarely get sick) 102.9°F and I was super miserable, just desperately wanted to be home so I could lay down. I don't know that I've ever been so tired; just getting up on the examination table left me winded. Doctor wasn't too worried though, sent me home with instructions for taking tylenol and staying hydrated. I also used ice packs (at one point had one attached to my forehead with a couple fabric headbands so I could use the computer without it falling off, lol)

The doctor wasn't too worried though, and ultimately sent me home with instructions for taking tylenol and staying hydrated. I also used ice packs (at one point I attached one to my forehead with a couple fabric headbands so I could lift my head to use the computer—it's on my bed lol—without it falling off). I also laid on this one big ice pack we have (it's amazing, I love it—it stays squishy even when frozen) and the ice seemed to do the trick, as my fever broke again. I was still exhausted but much better. Fever's been hovering around 100°F ever since, which is abnormal but not nearly as awful.

Anyway it's like 3:30AM at this point so I should probably try to get some sleep (though admittedly I've been dozing off and on since I got home from Urgent Care). Here's hoping tomorrow is a better day!!
