I’m already losing most of this one (which may be for the best as some was a bit ghoulish) but the crux was that our universe was ending, but we would survive after a sort of reset. We frantically gathered/packed what we could (I had a huge trash bag full of plushies for some reason), and even took things from a big box-type store, which in my case included some metal shelving for future plants, lol.
Then we were on a plane; I just barely made it on in time before the plane was dragged backwards in time, at one point swooshing through a hole in a mountain—backwards. Somehow we were able to comprehend all this as the universe not ending, but instead somehow reversing time itself.
We appeared in a new place, going forward in time while the dream continued to insist it was all backwards now. There was a brief scene of us survivors in a carport with our belongings, and then the dream ended.
There was also something about a global epidemic of some sort, which among others killed a small child who was some sort of symbol of peace and hope for the world, and for whom everyone mourned. There was, for a bit, a bit of a theme of dead children.
I blame parts of this dream squarely on watching, overnight, playthroughs of Danganronpa 2, Poppy Playtime Chapter 2, and The Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe, which feature people as symbols of hope, dead children, and lots of universe resetting shenanigans respectively.
It was a wild enough dream to finally get me to return to this journal, that’s for sure!
