Bananas Foster Cheesecake
adapted from the Publix (grocery chain) website. This is really a recipe for the topping only, and expects you to supply a cheesecake; I'll probably upload my grandma's New York cheesecake recipe eventually if you want! Also I doubled their recipe so that it makes enough for a full cheesecake, because for some reason they only made enough for half.
Ingredients
• 4 bananas
• ½ cup unsalted butter
• 1 ½ cups light brown sugar
• 2 tsp cinnamon
• 2 tbsp lemon juice
• 2 tbsp rum extract
• 2 tsp banana extract (or cream sherry)
• 1 New York-style cheesecake
Directions
➀ Peel bananas and cut into 1/2-inch slices; set aside.
➁ Melt butter with sugar and cinnamon in large sauté pan on medium-high 1–2 minutes, stirring constantly.
➂ Stir in lemon juice and both extracts.
➃ Add bananas; cook and stir 1–2 minutes or until hot.
➄ Serve immediately over cheesecake.
